Cancellations, deposits, and refunds

This note covers money paid to Cortex Quarryway Financial Planning for budget sittings and related written work. Fees are agreed in a fee note and paid by the method stated there, usually a transfer to the practice account.

Eligibility

A refund is available when a confirmed engagement is cancelled in time, when the practice cannot provide the sitting, or when a stage you have paid for has not started. Refunds follow the engagement you booked: the annual operating budget, the seasonal cash calendar, petty-cash house rules, or monthly expense sittings.

Timeframe and the deposit

The annual budget, the cash calendar, and the house rules are reserved with a deposit of thirty percent. If you cancel at least ten days before the opening sitting, the deposit is refunded in full. If you cancel inside those ten days, and the opening sitting has not begun, the practice keeps the deposit and refunds anything paid above it.

A quarterly set of three monthly sittings is paid at the first sitting. A single monthly sitting is paid when you attend. There is no separate deposit on a one-off monthly sitting.

Work already started

Once the opening count has taken place, the deposit is kept, because that half-day has been spent and notes have been made. Fees for stages not yet started are refunded. For the annual budget those later stages are the expense map if it has not been drafted, each revision sitting not yet held, the binding of the book if it has not gone to the binder, and any of the three included monthly reviews that have not occurred. A stage that has been drafted and sent to you counts as started.

For the seasonal cash calendar, a cancellation after the first sitting refunds the portion of the fee tied to the revision sitting if that revision has not been held. For house rules, a cancellation after the premises visit keeps the visit portion and refunds the revision if the first wage week has not yet been reviewed.

Full and partial refunds

A full refund of sums received is made when the practice cancels and cannot offer a new date within thirty days, or when you cancel outside the ten-day window before any work starts. A partial refund is the rule once a stage has started: you are charged for stages completed or underway, and the rest returns. The fee note’s stage split is used for the arithmetic. If the note gives a single fee, the practice applies the proportions written in this page.

Non-refundable items

The cost of a budget book that has already been printed or bound is not refunded, because the binder and the materials have been bought for your copy. Unused blank folders that the practice still holds are not charged. Travel already undertaken outside Su-ngai Padi, where the fee note added a journey cost, is not refunded after the journey. Travel not yet taken is refunded.

Rescheduling

You may move a sitting once, without a fee, if you ask at least two working days ahead and the new date falls within six weeks. A second move, or a move asked for inside two working days, is treated as a cancellation of that sitting. The practice will still try to offer another hour in the same month before treating it as cancelled.

No-shows

If you do not attend and do not send word, the sitting is charged. For a monthly sitting, that charge is the 6,500 THB fee. For an opening count, the deposit is kept. The practice waits thirty minutes, then releases the table for other work. If you arrive later the same day and the table is free, the sitting can continue; if it cannot, the no-show stands.

Materials

Working papers, linen folders, and binding are part of the engagement, not a separate shop. You are not billed for ordinary paper. You are billed only for binding that has already been ordered after you adopted the draft. Those bound pages stay yours even if a later review is cancelled.

How to ask, and how it is paid

Write to info@cortex-quarryway.click or telephone 073654819 and name the fee note, the date of the sitting, and whether you want a refund or a new date. The office confirms the amount in writing within five working days. Approved refunds are paid back to the same account that paid the practice, within fourteen working days of that confirmation. The practice does not refund in cash at the door except when the original payment was made in cash at the office, in which case you may collect it there by arrangement.

Exceptions

If a sitting cannot be held because the road to Paluru is closed, because of flooding, or because a planner is ill, you may take a new date or a full refund of the unheld sitting, including a deposit for work that never started. Illness or an emergency on your side is handled as a reschedule when you send word, even inside the two-day window, once in an engagement. A second emergency in the same engagement is discussed case by case and is not refused merely because the window was missed.

Questions about a figure already in a finished budget book are part of the next monthly sitting, not a refund event. Dissatisfaction with a ceiling you adopted and signed is not, by itself, a ground for returning the fee. If the practice failed to deliver a stage named in the fee note, that stage is refunded.
